1. Who we are and how to contact us

Shghool is an Oman-based service-coordination platform operated by [Shghool legal entity / owner — to be confirmed]. For any privacy question or request, contact support@shghool.com.

2. Information we collect

• Account data (through our sign-in provider): your name, email, phone number where provided, and profile photo where provided.
• Provider data: your business profile, catalogue, service coverage, and pickup or visit locations.
• Activity data: the requests, orders, and agreements you create on Shghool.
• Manual-order customer data: names and phone numbers that a provider enters into their own order book. These may belong to people who are not Shghool users.
• Uploaded files: such as payment receipts you attach to an order.
• Basic technical data needed to run and secure the service.

3. How we use information

We use information to provide and operate Shghool, to coordinate between clients and providers, to provide support, to keep the platform safe and prevent fraud, and to meet legal obligations. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for unrelated marketing.

Manual-order customer data is used only to help the provider manage their own order — Shghool never uses it for matching, notifications, lookup, or public display.

4. Who can see what

• A provider's public identity is their business name. A provider's personal full name is not shown to clients.
• Manual-order customer details are private to the provider who entered them and are visible to Shghool admins only. Other users never see them.
• Uploaded receipt or payment files are private and shown only to the people involved in that order, and to Shghool admins where needed.
• Shghool admins can access account and platform data as needed to operate, support, and moderate the service.

5. Provider-entered customer data

When a provider enters a customer's name or phone number, that provider is responsible for that information and for having a lawful reason to store it. Shghool stores it on the provider's behalf as part of their private order book.

6. Service providers we rely on

We use trusted service providers to run Shghool, who process data on our behalf: our sign-in provider (Clerk) for accounts and authentication, our database and file storage provider (Supabase), and our hosting provider (Vercel).

These service providers may store or process data outside the Sultanate of Oman, where their systems and infrastructure are located.

7. Data storage and security

Your data is stored with the service providers above. Uploaded files are kept in private storage with restricted access. We take reasonable measures to protect your information, but no method of storage or transmission is completely secure.

8. Data retention

We keep information while your account is active and for as long as needed to provide the service and to meet legal, safety, and dispute-resolution needs. After that, we delete or anonymise it.

9. Your choices and rights

You can ask us to access, correct, or delete your personal information by contacting us. Some information may be kept where the law requires. Requests about manual-order customer data are handled together with the provider responsible for that data.

10. Children

Shghool is intended for adults and is not directed to children.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the updated version with a new effective date.
